The steps to download a paper are: 1) Register by creating a (free) username and password on the top right hand side of page, 2) find the required paper by using the JOURNAL CONTENT search function (by author, title, abstract, index or full text), 3) click on the desired paper and the paypal payment system will activate, and 4) follow the instructions provided for downloading the pdf. Steps 1 and 2 can be done in reverse order.
Student, Library and Index Agency subscriptions are available for each journal or a combined subscription. Information is given under the About tab for each journal. Step 1: Log in as a user and go to User Home, My Account, Manage my subscriptions; Step 2: click on the student or library or agency subscription request (this is emailed to the Archive Manager), Step 3: after payment of the subscription fee via paypal, student access will be available via your University/college email address, or for members of libraries or indexing agencies access is via the library or agency's IP address range (IP ranges preferred to domain name).

Scope of journal
A journal for the publication of original articles about on-farm production, handling, transport, early-stage processing and marketing of wool, and all aspects of sheep breeding and husbandry. The emphasis was expanded in 1997 to include sheep and wool production in both Australia and New Zealand. Articles were also published on non-sheep fibre-producing breeds or sheep and wool work from other countries.
History of journal
When the Wool Technology journal was first published in 1954 by the University of New South Wales it was a unique vehicle for communicating technical information to sheep and wool industry participants. The journal also provided an advertising vehicle for Merino studbreeders and industry service companies in its earlier years.
There have only been three editors during its life. Professors Pat McMahon and Euan Roberts edited the journal from 1954 until 1976. Professor Roberts remained editor until 1992 when Prof. David Cottle became editor. The journal was published from UNSW, WRONZ and then UNE before it was terminated in 2009. You can find the final paper by Prof. John Kennedy here. The Animal Production Science journal now publishes many papers that may previously have been submitted to the journal.
Many journal papers were generated from the annual Wool Schools held at the School of Wool and Pastoral Sciences at UNSW. School staff and graduates have been responsible for much of the research in the sheep and wool industry with many School graduates taking up research and extension positions in CSIRO, State Departments, Universities etc. The last paper published in the journal written by John Kennedy gives an overview of this history.
Proceeds from the download of papers from the archive are used to cover the maintenance costs of the archive service and to support animal science teaching and research activities.
